A matrimony of eerie frequencies and aural daydreams, “digital hoarder” is pemzzi’s sanctuary for the softer sounds of her own retrograde, taken from the ritual clustering and collecting of internet media. Celine is not a dj, but she is a music hoarder. When she looks for music she looks for specific parts and moods that speak to her to an emotional level. Almost like they’re an extension of her being and experience. Creating playlists like snapshots of chapters of her life. She relates to sounds that disconnect her from the mundane and projects her into other realms. Through that, she seeks for unfamiliar sounds, taking her out of the dull of everyday life. I invited Celine due to similar processes of music collecting and archiving, that I noticed online. I went through her playlists and saw myself in the tracks she selected and they way she presented them.
