Filtering records is a radio show that introduces my record collection each time with a different narrative. Every episode will apply a different “filter” that will guide my collection in a specific direction. For Episode 16, the spotlight shines on Guidance Recordings—a respected and influential independent electronic music label that emerged from Chicago in the mid-1990s. Founded in 1996 by Spencer Kincy (a.k.a. Gemini), Ivan Pavlovich, and Rob Kouchoukos, the label became renowned for its deep house, downtempo, and other eclectic electronic styles.
