Gallery Noise - 10 w/ Bambí Benkö
Airdate: 08.11.2024
The next guest at Gallery Noise is Bambí Benkö, a queer non-binary Dutch-Hungarian visual artist with a focus on participatory performance and intervention in public space. Within their sculptural work, they are interested in creating liminal and enchanted environments, that entice haptic sensations.
Under the name Tools for Action, a group initiated by Bambí in 2012, collaborations between artists, activists, and communities are realized with the aim of developing new forms of assembly and political intervention. For the past decade, Tools for Action has created an anti-fascist mirror barricade against a neo nazi march, supported several international climate justice mobilizations and direct actions, collaborated with the transgender sex workers community in Columbia, and created raves and dreaming assemblies during the covid-19 pandemic and opening the new Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. Tune in for more!
