Krismika is a Rotterdam-based DJ heavily involved in the city’s underground scene, both behind the decks and behind the scenes. In addition to DJing, she works as a programmer for radio station and cultural platform Operator and is active as an event organizer for the underground record label Pinkman. Beyond these roles, she has also conducted research on gender dynamics within the Dutch electronic underground scene.
As a DJ, Krismika's sound is wide-ranging, but her main focus is deeply rooted in the sounds of the 80s. Drawing inspiration from that era, her sets often include Electro, New Beat, EBM, Wave, Acid House, and Italo. She has a passion for opening sets and radio shows filled with downtempo oddities, which she showcases in her bi-monthly radio show Same but Different on Operator. Yet, she's equally at ease spinning in a dark, sweaty basement in the middle of the night.
