LABEL LAB 005 w/ Maria Cue & Anekumena Tapes (Cartopol)

For this 5th episode, Maria Cue invites Cartopol, an Amsterdam-based composer, producer and Dj from Lima, Perú. He likes to explore the grey area between club music and everything else, having developed his style through years of work composing music for theatre and dance performances, in which he fuses together influences from contemporary music and underground experimental practices. Together with Opus Occvltiis he runs Anekumena Tapes, an eclectic label dedicated to exploring the thin line between club and non-club music, showcasing experimental sounds from Amsterdam and beyond, covering the spectrum between electronica, dance music, ambient, noise and punk.
