Listening to Possible Worlds: Glitter Freeze w/ k.cast

Airdate: 19.05.2026
“Listening to Possible Worlds” is an upcoming conference at Universiteit Leiden (22-23 October) organised by Daný van Dam, Ruth Clemens and Michael Thomas Rowland as part of the project “Tracing Players Playing Traces: Non/Human Music in Modern and Contemporary Literature”. As part of the project, k.cast (MTR) brings one hour of speculative storytelling, sound, technology and literary theory threaded into soundscapes and tracks from Kraftwerk, YMO, Форум, Fatima Yamaha and more. On the way we’ll listen to the links between literature and music, technology and sound control, algorithmically-determined forms of consciousness (the Glitter Freeze) and how the digital is accelerating the growth of radical communities first formed centuries ago.
