On episode 36 of NSR, host marienus invites German dj/producer Akata. Lukas Akata is the co-founder of Frankfurt based collective and event-series "Project Operator". Over the years, Lukas Akata has fine-tuned his DJ style, which is a blend of bass-heavy Electro, Breakbeat and Acid featuring strong EBM influences. Dutch westcoast and Detroit inspiration breathe raw energy into his sets. Each performance is a journey along the darker, more intense side of electronic music, featuring dark basslines, retro synths and driving percussion. In addition to his DJ performances, Akata works intensively with hardware synthesizers in his studio to create his unique sound. His EPs "Pressure Zone" and „Surface + Polar Solvent“ are standout examples of his creative work, mainly falling into the Electro, IDM, and broken-beat Techno genres. More releases are planned for later this year. As the co-founder of Project Operator since its launch in 2018, Lukas Akata has been keen to challenge musical status quos within the Frankfurt area.
