.wav_s - Visual Culture Minor WdKA

Give ear to .wav_s on the 14th of November. .wav_s is the outcome of an experimental sonic collaboration by students in the Visual Culture minor at the Willem de Kooning Academy. Exploring the various ways in which we abstract, use, feel and communicate with sound. This broadcast for Operator Radio presents a dynamic program of eight group projects that meditate on themes such as nostalgia, catharsis, language, intimacy, world-building, binary systems, the non-human, and fracture. Over the course of this four-hour program, listeners may lose themselves in diverging tracks, and come out the other end having experienced the medium.
