WdKA elective: Wouldn’t Sappho be proud?

Can creators outside the lesbian and sapphic community represent our experiences accurately through their stories?

In this episode we discuss questions, concerns and desires we have regarding lesbian representations in media. We touch upon some discourses surrounding censorship while reflecting on the target audiences and the access to writing such stories. Through rambling about and making connections to our own experiences, we talk about tropes and stories we want to see more of and others were tired of.

We dive into our favourite stories of Deltarune and Oniisama E and critically analyse what is represented well and what isn’t while taking into account the context and positionality of their writers.
