Bay Area-born and raised, Bastiengoat has become an essential figure amongst the Bay Area's vibrant underground of the last decade. His journey into the rave began as a teenager, mixing jungle records in his bedroom and teaching himself to make beats on Reason. Posting his mixes on local online channels, he began DJing renegades in the woods and eventually clubs. Since his humble beginnings, he has spent the last 10 years traveling to other cities, bringing his unique style and curation with him. With production that infuses sounds from techno, breaks, and juke with west coast genres such as hard house and hyphy, he creates cohesion out of the confusing universe of club music. Whether he's making mutated dubstep, or putting gabber kicks over a Keak Da Sneak sample, he's always molding exciting sounds together both past and present. With nearly 30 self-released Bandcamp projects, his EPs such as Sideshow, Harmony, and his newest Endogenous are favorites amongst fans of mangled dance music. While praise for his work has put him on lineups with legends such as UK jungle don Goldie, the rich tradition of the Bay's underground are the true roots of his practice. A Grimy warehouse full of outcasts trying to escape the brutality of everyday life is where his sound feels most comfortable. Bastiengoat's passion to make people move is fueled by these spaces and communities, and it remains his purpose to spread the innovation found there. "
