BuruN ĐăngA

Đăng-Vũ was born in Hoorn, The Netherlands but BuruN ĐăngA in Sài Gòn, Việt Nam when he was invited to play his first gig for Objoff at The Observatory in April 2022. “BuruN ĐăngA” refers to the compound extracted from the psychoactive plant Datura Stramonium, whose distinct flowers are known as angel’s- as well as devil’s trumpets. A person under its influence loses their free will and bodily control. All factors that hint toward his selections: from heavenly ambient to trippy, dark, deep and hypnotic dance-inducing music. However, his recent visits to his motherland have sparked an obsession with Vietnamese music and rediscovery and re-appreciation of the music his family would listen to while growing up in the Netherlands. For Scattered Waves, he will play an all-Vietnamese set including field recordings from his trips to Vietnam and personal sound pieces.
