De Lucht is an Amsterdam-based duo formed by multi-instrumentalists Anis Oepkes and Shakuru Tajiri. Conceived as a sanctuary alongside their work as producers and composers, the project functions as a musical playground where experimentation and intuition take precedence over genre or expectation. Working with a hybrid palette of analog gear, digital textures, field recordings, and found sounds, De Lucht create layered compositions that evolve organically. In their studio, any object can become an instrument and every sound a potential fragment of a larger sonic landscape. Their music often resists traditional song structures and instead unfolds through shifting textures, subtle rhythms, and atmospheric detail.
Their debut EP <3 presents this approach across four tracks that move between intimacy and expansiveness. The focus track “eusébio” begins with warm textures and fragments of memory, incorporating archival audio from childhood home videos recorded on the island of Terschelling. From these quiet beginnings, the track gradually builds toward a euphoric climax carried by a rich palette of layered sounds. With <3, De Lucht introduces a shared sonic language that feels both spontaneous and carefully crafted, sensitive, exploratory, and deliberately unbound.
