DJ CRISPS

Julio learned the craft of mixing from his older brothers and in the mid 90's he started playing at clubs at a young age. He was at the beginning of 2step/garage in the Netherlands, having a residency at one of the biggest clubs (La Xala) at that time and playing next to guys like DJ Gomes, Steve Boomselecter and Jeremaine S. Later on, he joined the Sober Collective and played festivals like Solar, Extrema, and Mysteryland. The love and passion for Garage were unconditional. So, after a little break, Julio decided to come back late '19 with a new and fresh alias; DJ CRISPS. As a producer, he spends a lot of time in the studio making UKG. While sending demos with the hopes it will be picked up, it was dubplate king Riz La Teef picked up the tunes and the first release from DJ CRISPS was born. His debut EP on Riz La Teef's label South London Pressings soon became a sellout. His second release on dubplate label EC2A also already has been sold out. It should not come as no surprise more releases are planned. As a DJ, he delivers technical DJ-sets focus on the new UKG. But between this, you can also recognize the 2step classics. Expect more in the upcoming future from this BADMAN from Rotterdam!
