Kaarst

Kaarst, is a filipino-british sound artist and DJ currently based in Delft, NL. His club sets are characterized by the enigmatic sounds of bass music that resonate through the UK underground. His performances feature low-end influences from 140, grime, halfstep, techno, and UK funky, layered with rhythms and grooves that border on the menacing.

Outside of the club, Kaarst is interested in concepts of listening and what music garners this attention, creating mixes that consist of some of his own and others’ field recordings, ambient music, jazz and experimental electronic music
