KATZWIJM

KATZWIJM is an independent music collective, recording studio, and record label based in the 'Bollenstreek'. Founded as Next to Jaap Studio, it has grown from a small flower bulb shed into a renowned analogue and digital recording space that has welcomed over a thousand artists and bands. Known for its open atmosphere and independent spirit, KATZWIJM has become an important part of the Dutch and international underground music scene. Since the passing of founder Corno Zwetsloot in 2014, the studio has been continued by a collective of friends, musicians, and producers dedicated to preserving its creative vision. In addition to recording and releasing music through KATZWIJM RECORDS, the studio organizes festivals, monthly gatherings, and other cultural events. Over the years, it has increasingly evolved into an artist-in-residence space, hosting acts such as Teardrinker and Altın Gün, while artists including The Ex, Personal Trainer, Howrah, Space Siren and I Am Oak have recorded there.
