Lilian Beentjes

Lilian Beentjes is a Rotterdam based artist who explores materiality and functionality of objects through a process driven practice, resulting mainly in sculptures, music, and jewellery. Through making, she seeks dialogue with the material world around her, combining various techniques originating from areas between craftsmanship and DIY culture. Most recently, she has integrated instrument-making into her practice, using materials and objects as a new sonic layer in her musical work.
