Melis Köke

Melis Köke aka DJ YETO is an Istanbul-based selector sharing with her audience a broad musical taste of different origins. She specializes in uncharted bass music and her selection ranges from the raw energy of Rio’s Favelas to the gritty beats of London Underground. For the past two years Melis Köke has been drifting her way through club culture and beyond like a very loud V8 Ferrari out of a fairytale. With strong roots in Istanbul, where she worked at Analog Culture amongst the finest records and at NOH Radio as programmer, she now manages Vamonos Records and is an active member of Istanbul/Berlin collective Siraen. Behind the decks, Köke refuses to limit herself to any genre or school, making the audience wonder what comes next and in the end having it all blend together smoothly. Her sets are her shared bundles of fast-paced banging & happiness,where every beat and rhythm is carefully crafted to stimulate the senses and move the soul. Which include but is not limited to: Tribaile Funk, Acid BonBon, UK Garage and Fierce House.
