Norherenorthere

Norherenorthere is the solo project of Luciana Russo, an Amsterdam-based musician with roots in the Andes. Eerie atmospheres, celestial harmonies, and playful drum programming blend with lyrics that allude to deep oceans, remote lands, and non humans in a world where familiar and magical elements coexist. Enjoying the challenges and limitations of both new and old hardware, Luciana produces from her studio using the same instrument set up that she employs for live performances. In addition to physical textures, sampled nuances from film extracts and her own vocal registers add another dimension to her work. Genres such as jazz, 80’s electronica, darkwave, electro, industrial, and ambient have inspired her sound. Norherenorthere has recently completed the recording of her debut LP and will soon announce its release date.
