I listen to survive, really. To everything around me – the sea on a summer night, a gorgeous ambient gem, a forgotten jazz track, a legendary acid tune. Also to silence, musics that use silence and seemingly useless sounds – a squeaking door, the spinning washing machine of our upstairs neighbour, the voice of my grandmother (that’s everything but useless, actually). The point is, I listen to tell stories, and that’s also what I sound like. Aside from listening, I write for independent magazines, moderate debates, work in urbanism and culture and now, it seems, I also occasionally play music in the comfort of the airwaves.
