Rilou

Brought up in South Africa with Greek roots, Groningen-based Rilou, also known as Marialena, gravitates towards sinister rhythms and flirtatious percussion lines. Her track selections cast a wide net but are consistent with corroded textures and a grumbling bass. Since exploring Groningen’s electronic music scene, there’s been one more space filled on local dancefloors and one more crowd member eagerly digging for sounds inspired by the night before.
