Rotterdam-South, the summer of 1990.. A 90 minute tapedub circulated the neighbourhood where Space Pete grew up. Looping electronic melodies, accompanied by heavy basskicks and snares for rhythm. Immediatly it aroused every youth's curiosity. What is this?.. It was called 'House'. A few months later he would end up at his first all night house-parties. A friend told him that on the other side of the Maastunnel there's a club where they played House music all-night every week.. This club was called 'Parkzicht'. From his first visit there it was a done deal. Once through the doors it was a wall of sound, explosions of light & crazy people dancing everywhere! The '86-'92 records that were played there still remain the cornerstone of his sets. His more than 30 years partying brought him the rest of his inspiration..
