Tristan Dufrene

Tristan Dufrene is an underground artist that navigates elements of sound, sight, heart, and mind with passionate expression. With roots deep in South Louisiana, her warm, welcoming personality emanates to dance floors with ease and grace. Her musical selections span genres including nu-disco, funk, deep house, breaks, leftfield bass, techno, electro, and many more. Tristan has performed at just about every venue with a soundsystem in New Orleans, and she has a strong affinity for organizing and curating quality underground experiences of her own. Since 2019, she has been the head force behind Subject Matter, a residency focused on the kind of techno, electro, and breakbeats that can only lead to all-night dancing. Since about the same time, she also launched Tesselate, a special series of intimate daytime parties for the deeper and more mellow sounds of dance music.
