One of the hidden figures from Sofia's thriving underground scene, Ivo Ivanov has made a name for himself as an eclectic selector with a deep passion for house, techno and twisted electronica. Playing music since the mid-90s, he used the moniker Yves_O first in 2005 at the legendary parties in the first independent art space in Sofia – Studio Dauhaus, where he was co-manager. His musical knowledge and performance experience are obvious whenever he plays. His sets are mostly conceptual and specially made for the events and spaces he's playing. He fearlessly blends a range of tempos, genres, eras and moods with an expert sense of melody and depth.
He graduated in cultural management and is a resident selector at Sofia's underground venues and performs audiovisual sets at various events. He also works as a media art curator and organizer of various art exhibitions and events, most notably the Sofia Underground Performance Art Festival and the ON! Media Arts project. The fact that he is an award-winning video artist and active VJ makes his sets stand out even more. From dark and futuristic to lively and cinematic, the visuals he emits are mostly self-produced and inspired by contemporary life.
