Favouring higher tempos, Kimmah delivers an energy explosion that gets the sweat dripping down from the ceiling. With regular excursions into dark, funky, and fast electro, breaks, bass, and acid, she matches the grit and sleaze with plenty of bump and grind, for a full body dancefloor workout. What started as a monthly radio show at Operator Radio has evolved into something much bigger. Scattered Waves has grown into a platform and space dedicated to highlighting emerging artists and upcoming sounds from East and Southeast Asia. At its core is a yearly club night during Lunar New Year at Club RAUM in Amsterdam, celebrating diasporic connections while bridging scenes between Asia and beyond. Born in Utrecht, and now based in Saigon, she’s picked up ideas and inspirations from every city she’s called home. Her time in Rotterdam saw her deeply rooted in the local scene, with residencies at POING Club and Operator Radio, alongside her work at Pinkman Records and as a night council member at N8W8 R’dam, specialized in urban design. Her Safety Rider has since been widely shared and discussed, with features on VICE, in No One Magazine, and at ADE.
